I would pick the red RAM.

CL9 to CL8 is not worth such a big price difference in my opinion, you won't see any performance difference at all. Not even 1fps.

As of the cards, it really deppends on you. I would have loved to pick up the one with the Battlefield sticker, as I love how it looks, but it does not sell here in Germany, at least, I couldn't find it.

Now, both cards will actually perform the same, only difference is, I think the Battlefield edition one comes with Bad Company 2 Vietnam (Not sure wether Bad Company 2 + Bad Company 2 Vietnam expansion, or just the Vietnam expansion I just checked, it does come with both Bad Company 2 + Bad Company 2 Vietnam expansion!).

Unless you really want the Battlefield sticker (Yeah, looks great ), go with the normal one, $20 cheaper.

Also keep in mind the one with Battlefield sticker is hard to get, it's out of stock most of the times, and whenever there's stock, they fly within a day

About the case, is really up to you. I see it has no exhaust fan at all in the rear or in the top, so I would say the airflow in that case will be pretty poor.

The ones I told you about are probably the best in the market for air cooling. You wouldn't have problems with that case, but I really don't like it's air flow design, no exhaust fans = bad.

Both cards use the same ref cooler. The difference is the stickers. If you really want to use the ref cooler, use the cheapest one. No point in paying 20 $ more for a better sticker. If you want a cooler card, use the aftermarket ones, Asus's Direct CU II, MSI's TF II/III. For the ram, the blue ones have better timings. But no noticeable changes while you game. Get the cheapest one. Unless you have a color theme and get the blue one, I suggest you get the red one.

Ok, thanks a lot to all of you. I don't plan on buying the PC for at least 2 -3 months, I'm just planning ahead, so prices are bound to drop for better items. I'm just getting an understanding so I'll know what to do and buy.

What should I do for extra fans to cool the ram and such? Also my friend said make sure the motherboard I buy fits in the case I buy, so how can I tell that?

Oh and the video card says:

"Interface
Interface
PCI Express 2.1 x16"

But the motherboard has pci 2.0 x16

You do not need a FAN to cool down your RAM, the RAM already has an in-built heatsink which is auto-sufficient to keep it well cooled.

Don't worry about what the video card says, it is 100% compatible with that motherboard.

Also, you linked me Asus P8P67 M-PRO, that one is a smaller version for HTPC's and such.

Grab the Asus P8P67 PRO (REV 3.0) without the "M".

And no problem, I am happy to help you.

Motherboards can be m-atx, atx, e-atx etc. P8P67s are atx. Medium towers support atx motherboards. Ram does not need cooling, it doesn't heat up as far as people think it would. PCI 2.1 is backwards compatible with 2.0 so no point in worrying about that. If you get a motherboard with multiple graphic card supported, make sure to put your single graphic card in the x16 lane. You would know which lane is it by reading the manual that comes with the motherboard.

Looks like Newegg.ca does not have the ATX version of the Asus P8P67 PRO.

In that case, you could look at this one:

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...%20P8P67%20EVO

Asus P8P67 EVO (Rev 3.0).

That's the one I have, and it's a great motherboard.

Yes it will, my friend has that very same case in the same motherboard and also in a Sapphire HD6970!

You won't have any problems!

Anyways, it's almost 06:00am here, I am going to sleep, so I won't be able to answer again in a couple of hours.

I will be happy to help you out more once I wake up, meanwhile, I am sure there will be many other helpful people around which will help you too!

Good night.

No problem, like I said, I'm more than happy to help you out.

I know what it feels to have little knowledge when spending so much money on a PC, all of us were in your situation in the past, we all have to learn.

I'll help you as much as I can, you're really getting a very nice PC with that budget
