Or rather marketing decided to be smart and be selective with their audience. Even amongst the PC building community most people won't think about server bases. Imagine putting "The World's First Mainstream Consumer 8-Core CPU", doesn't sound so flashy anymore.

I like these more than Intel's packaging, it gives it more character and personality in my opinion.

Yes that's right I prefer character and personality to performance let's just hope AMD bring it this year.

The box should have a some kind of outer space design. I like the first one but we are in the 21 first century right?

AMD partners up with Kool-Aid for the first ever total installation experience. Not only do you get this awesome box conceived and designed by a 14 year old, you also get 2 packets of Kool-Aid (for your refreshment during installation), in ADDITION to a bulldozer processor. Just add water...

I'd take that offer happily. I haven't drank Kool-Aid in years. Would give AMD publicity too.

I was hoping for AMD having a bulldozer machine painted to the box... XD

Looks like cranberry juice and lemonade mixed with mango. It surely doesn't look beasty, but it sure does turn heads.
