Have I Wrecked my Graphics card?

Thread Starter
This might be alot to read, so sorry for that.

I was playing Starcraft 2 and the objects were disappearing and 3 seconds after the game would close down, this had happened after 3-4 hours playing, and kept doing it on the same level roughly around the same place. now I'm unsure if it's the graphics card 100% because I've done alot of changes, I've unlocked a core on my cpu ( not sure of the symptoms of a faulty core), Changed the heatsink/Fan on my graphics card to copper and used overclock auto tune for my graphics card. Default speed : GPU clock 650mhz and memory 800mhz, auto tune took it to 750mhz gpu and 900mhz memory, temps were pretty good 55C maximum. so now i've done restore to factory settings on my graphics card, everything back to default speed and I Haven't had the game close down on me but i get something else, i've taken screenshots and uploaded them. Have I Wrecked my graphics card by OC it? or maybe is it my unlockable core faulty?

Why are you using a 5450 to game on? o.O You can easily get a 9800GT for $50 tops.

My guess is he's got a funny case that doesn't actually have room for full sized graphic cards and he needs to use the smaller cards E.G a 5450.

Have you tried re-installing SC2? Because that looks like issues with textures and models etc.

so those things in the pic doesn't mean i've wrecked my gpu? Got the graphics card for 15pound, + i thought it was a good one as it had 1gb ddr3 or gddr3 or whatever. nope haven't tryed reinstalling, I did play the game in the lowest settings for about 2 hours and didn't have any of that green rubbish, I dunno :S, so this all relates in my gpu and nothing else?

Most likely. But there's no way of knowing till you actually do some troubleshooting. As I said, try re-installing the game. If you don't want to re-install the game but you do want to test your GPU. Download Furmark. It's a graphic intensive application that utilizes OpenGL to render a ring covered in fur which WILL stress your GPU out. If nothing happens after leaving Furmark on for a bit, then your GPU is fine and it's game related.

Guess I was wrong about the case restrictions

The 5450 isn't "Good" but it will do alright. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it the lowest-end card in the 5000 Series?

5450 is perfect size, i could fit a bigger one in tho, not MUCH bigger tho, I've ran furmark for like an hour and nothing, was fine, could it be my cpu? or mobo? I'm not sure if it's the lowest-end card for that series sorry.

Probably a texture glitch with the game, try reinstalling it. If that doesn't work, reinstall the drivers.

No driver sweeper either, use catalyst install manager (comes with the drives)
