3-way with Sandy Bridge

post #1 of 3
Thread Starter
I have a new sandy bridge platform with the i5-2500k. Should I stick with 2 way sli? Or should I invest the extra bucks to go for a 3-way with an NF200 motherboard?

I like to play games maxed out. I like to get lots of cobblestones of computation.

I wouldn't worry about 3 way, or should I say base your decision of board on 3 way.
SLI scaling past two cards sucks anyways.

@PresNotSure

Probably not worth it, maybe better to (for example) go for 2 way SLI with GTX 580 then 3 way SLI with GTX 465 if that´s your intention.

Anyway, here´s a article about GPU scaling on a Maximus IV Extreme, ASUS Maximus IV Extreme – Sandy Bridge VS The World (Part 2/2)

The scaling doesn´t look that bad.
