With that X-750, I hope you're planning on having like two GTX 470s in your system.

Edit: Is this a build log? Or are you looking for help?

my intentions on the ram is to buy a used stick on ebay since it has 4 slots for dual channel

It's not a huge deal as he is going from a Pentium 4 S478 (2004 model)to a Sandybridge

Why didn't you just buy an 8GB kit, or two 8GB kits then? Didn't see exactly how much RAM you were going for...

And why $160 for a PSU, when you're only going to be drawing around 250-300w or so at full load? You could have EASILY gotten by with a $40 400w PSU.

EDIT:
Yeah, for $99.99 you could have gotten an 8GB kit of GSkill Ripjaws that would do 2000 easy enough.

Bought or not, the power draw on the X-750 will never exceed 30-35% (maybe 40-45% at the most) which results in lower efficiency than advertised due to what you'd be pulling most of the time. :/

For example: the highest load I could ever draw at the wall was roughly 440W while running Furmark - and I had to put some effort into it. If my PSU were 85% efficient at the time of that draw, then my system was pulling approximately 375W from the PSU while its continuous capacity is 650W.

My GTX 465 is unlocked to a GTX 470 too.

I originally wanted the HX450, but the cost of international shipping made it cost more than what I found the HX650 for.

Wrong memory. Get some 2x2GB or 4x4GB DDR3-1600 CL9 1.5V RAM.

Overkill power supply unless you're going SLI/CFX with higher end cards in future.

Go with GA-P67A-UD3P-B3 instead. It has 12-phase VRM.

that 750 watt was less then the Seasonic 650 I was going to get.

the price was only $129 750W vs $139 for the 650W

talk about free upgrade + $10 savings

The Power quality of service is poor in my city.
That is why the power cost is so cheap in the city. Only
0.065 Tier 1 to 0.078 Tier 2(highest Tier) per KW hour
