Going to be buying cpu cooler soon

Thread Starter
I'm new here, so if I'm posting in the wrong section I'm sorry.

I've bee looking around for cpu coolers and I would like to overclock my i7 950. my budget is 50 dollars. I've seen three coolers that caught my eye on newegg.
these three:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103088&cm_re=v6-_-35-103-088-_-Product
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181011&Tpk=corsair%20a70
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065&Tpk=coolermaster%20212

Will any of these be able to reach around 3.7 ghz to 4 ghz with reasonable temps?

full system specs:
cpu: i7 950 at stock with stock cooler
gpu: HD 6950
motherboard: asus sabertooth x58
case: phantom nzxt so size of the cooler shouldn't be an issue

thanks for the help

Best out of those is the A70. AR that's a really good deal too! ($26)

Should get you to 3.8+GHz easy. wink.gif

Best is the V6, by a little bit. If you believe you will get your money from the rebate, $27 with free shipping is a nice deal for the A70.

V6, A70, Hyper 212+ in order of the best. If you're willing to dish out up to $50 anyway, might as well just get the best one of the bunch. Otherwise, maybe wait for Hyper 212+ to go on sale to like $20 (not sure about States, but there's always a company in Canada within distance that sells it for that price) and just go for that since the performance difference is minimal. Either way, you'll probably replace the fans on the heatsinks eventually (regardless of which heatsink you get) so the dual fan value that the V6 and A70 offer isn't that important.

Yup. Tt Frio is right up there with the V6 and others, just behind the Megatron/VX.

I recommend the TT Frio as well.
Don't forget to invest in some decent thermal paste - http://www.svc.com/thermal-compound.html
