I like how he's removed the refresh rate of his monitors from his sig rig, yeah still not convinced.

In those comparions there are more people in the Q9650 snapshots VS 2500K Sandybridge, which has almost no people in the snapshots.

Something is not right with those settings,maybe OP was forcing AA & AF filters trough nVidia Controll Panel and that has a major performance hit..

That is only making things look worse for your statment..

A Q9650 @ 4GHz IS IN NO WAY BOTTLENECKING A HD5870!!!!

CHEERS..
No AA was being forced in CCC, stock ver 11.2 driver installed on both setups. And YES a Q9650 IS bottlenecking a 5870 from being able to perform, just look at these results in the 1st two screenshots I posted. The GPU usage on the 5870 is at 60% on the 5870 in the Q9650 rig and the GPU usage is at 99% on the 5870 in the i5-2500k rig.

To me those pics do not look exactly the same (identical) regarding lightning,colours and objects..

On some there are more soliders then on others..

Without a built in benchmark,with a screen shot of the results and settings used there is no point of making someon e to beleive in what you're saying..

lol, nice troll... you obviously don't play BC2 that much to understand what does and doesn't cause major fps drop. A couple people being rendered doesn't effect it that much

800x600= More CPU usage.

if he was running 800x600 in these tests, than the CPU whould become the bottleneck, even on 2500K.
post #28 of 569
We will see... If OP's Q9650@4GHz is bottlencking a 5870, I should at least be bottlenecking my overclocked GTX 570, which is a faster card than the HD 5870, using my Q9650@4.05GHz...

Hahahaha a Q9650 @ 4GHz is a bottleneck to the HD5870 and a Q9550 @ 3.9GHz is not to the GTX480 @ 850/1025MHz..

Enough said,check yourself..

Dude, do you even know what's going on? I've got 2 computers in the same room both are using a 5870, one is a C2Q and other is SB... I have both pc's join the same server and look roughly in the same direction, players can't stand on top of each other so the angles will look a tad off, look at the hidden message I've added in the chat for you guys
