[Reuters] Lost city of Atlantis, may be found - Page 10

i still think my theory is true, what is known as atlantis was part of a large city thousands of years ago that slowly sank into the sea, i do beleve they were very advanced.
i believe the earth goes through cycles just like the myans belived and atlantis was from a time before the ice age.
and i also believe the same will be happening again.

Regardless if it is "the" Atlantis, uncovering a new underwater city might reveal a previously lost civilization, interesting stuff.

Huh so if the theory int he video holds true, marsupial fossils should exist in Antarctica, South America and Africa? Snap

Of course, but does it fit the timeline? Not for what I'm talking about. You're talking about nearly 100,000 years ago. I'm talking 6,000-10,000 years ago. At that point even with frozen land to cross upon in the Bering Strait I'm talking about the knowledge and technology to cross vast oceans, such as the Pacific. Completely different.

IF this idea of atlantis were true, and there was some super-old civilization that died out, wouldn't there be indications of advanced technology? I mean, with the same natural resources and materials available, it's not unreasonable to assume were were similar--if not the same--developments--like metals, alloys, plastics, etc.--stuff that doesn't get broken down even over the course of tens of thousands of years. Wouldn't there be vast finds of these sorts of artifacts?
