but is it necessary to have a temp sensor or flow meter with it? or i dont need one?
These are nice to have, not have to have. In water temp sensors are great if you have two (one before your rads and one after) to see how well your loop is cooling. Or you can use one and an air sensor to see the delta from ambient again another way to check your loop performance.

Flow meters are good to make sure your loop is working but your temps can tell you if it is flowing or not . The nicer flow meters hook to a sensor to either give you flow like fan RPM or link to a software suit so it can shut off the computer if your pump ever fails.

Distilled water IS non-conductive initially. Same as Feser one or any of the others. Over time, however, they all start to ionize and will become conductive. Distilled water has the best thermal performance but if you just have to use a colored fluid (not recommended) Feser One is the best rated. Just be prepared to have to clean your loop much more often.

There is alway a risk. This is why you should do good leak testing prior to firing up your loop with powered components.

Teflon tape. This is used to close the small gaps between threads to make a water tight seal. Plumbers use this because plumbing fittings do not use O-rings to make a seal. Since the vast majority of fittings have O-rings this tape should be unnecessary.

I also found 7/16" tube over 1/2" barb is a very good way to prevent leaks. You can muscle it in there, but will have to pray to take it off. It goes on TIGHT !
