ugggh thinking about going to XP

Yeah. I'm thinking about going to XP. I REALLY WANT TO GAME Now that I'm going back to Windows, I'm thinking XP64 should be enough. Here's how I look at it.

Windows 2000- Awesome OS, but no 64 bit support nor steam.

Windows XP32/64- Another awesome OS, a little outdated but I could
careless right now. Some issues with x64 though.

Windows Vista- Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Vista but I can notice a preformence decrease when gaming compared to XP or 7.

Windows 7- Ehh It's up to date, but I'm just not feelin it, yo.

So I'm thinking about installing XP64 now, but should I go to 7 or not? I want to hear y'all's opinions.

Thanks, Bakingsoda.

Yeah, but it's not that bad. I've used it in the past a few times.
I might even go 32 bit XP.

Lol, I reinstalled XP last week just for the heck of it. Almost threw up. Like watching tv on a black n white set or something. You do not realize the strides in technology made until you go back and experience the old stuff.

Go 7, some new games coming out may not support XP anymore - so you're gonna hate XP later on

Now if your talking XP 64 vs Vista, no question XP might be the way to go. But I have never heard a bad word on Win 7 64bit.

7 all the way. even if you don't care about all the pretty features (i don't) it is fast and has a lot better support. if you plan on gaming, i would recommend ultimate 64 because of the legacy support meaning that it will run games that require a 16 bit installer. this means that even games that are very old will be able to install in ultimate.

here is a decent price for ultimate 64bit

if you don't want to spend that much money on an os, you can find better deals online, but please go legit,
