My brother has 2 5870s with the same power supply. It's fine, but for some odd reason, the computer makes strange high-pitch noises when in-game (could be PSU or videocard, supposedly I suspect the cards though).

Video card I think. My 5870 has an annoying little whine when I push it hard. Something in the power circuit I think.

@OP, yes 750W should be fine for 2 x 5870.

Yes considering I was using a 8800GT and a heavily overclocked processor, AND 5870 CF, all running full tilt =P... that did get the power supply a bit warm though.

That was on a 850W so a 750W should easily cover for 5870 CF

I have a stock 5970 on a Enermax 525w in my other machine, no problems in the last few months.

750w is more than enough.
