His math is right, if Phenom 2 = 100%, then Ivy Bridge = 151.8%
Therefore Ivy Bridge is theoretically 51.8% faster per clock than Phenom 2.

so if it's $300 for an 8 core cpu that would=win
$200 for a mobo and transfer everything else from my old rig
$500 for a 980x destroyer including mobo

If Bulldozer has a 50% boost over Phenom II, that means Bulldozer isn't as far off but because this is only the 8 core model and Ivy Bridge is a 16 core processor...omg...I can't wait to see what the 2nd generation 16 core Bulldozer is gonna be like (16 cores because a road map showed that the 2nd generation will have 2x the performance which means 16 cores).

AMD: Hello 1st place in the processor market.
