GTX 260 overheating/crashing

My brother has a PNY GTX 260 192 that appears to crash whenever he plays starcraft 2 and rift. The temperatures are getting up to 105 degrees when using folding@home to load the GPU. I just replaced the thermal-paste with MX-4 and it did not appear to make much of a difference. His computer is somewhat confined, and he gets CPU temps of about 83 degrees when using prime95. Would it be correct to assume his case is not getting adequate airflow? He is using a CM Scout case with stock fans.

I wouldn't think the case would be the problem, though it does depend on how he has it set up. Is he running the case fans on low? How about the fan speed on the gtx260? I had a gtx260 216 that I overclocked and ran f@h on and it never went above 65c (and that was with a terrible cooler on it), so those temps are definitely high. Are you sure that the cooler is making good contact with the gpu?

The fan will go all the way up to 100 percent. The cooler is making contact, I checked that when I replaced the thermal-paste. I don't think the case fans have any speed settings, but they are not particularly fast.
