Is there anything on the market similar to the Alienware M11x?
I want something small (Preferably 13" or less) that has the capability of running games, obviously wouldnt be used for gaming often, but every now and then a bit of Bad Company 2 or the likes would be nice. Is there anything of a similar size which has a GPU similar or better than the Nvidia 335GT?
I want an i3/i5 CPU (i7 would probably be overkill and I would end up with a low clock speed)
or a Phenom II x3/x4
GPU something that can handle games such as BFBC2 on low settings or better at the screens native res.
4GB RAM
HDD size doesnt really matter
Budget isnt set, just want to see my options and then go from there.
Depending on what you want to do with it, the Toshiba T135D might be something for you?
Despite having a dual core 1.6 Ghz, it's remarkably fast.
Pro's are the 8 hours battery, and the small pocket size. (13.3''), and the awsome price.
If you want i could give you a list with specifications?
The Toshiba 135D w/ the AMD 1.6ghz dualcore is fast compared to atom chips, but it's inefficient and runs hot. The most battery life you'll get is 4 hours on 'high performance' settings.
The included ATI 3200 graphics is an upgrade(only in name?
) to intel's HD4500 onboard video, but not powerful enough to run anything graphically intensive.
This sub-notebook would have been a viable option 2 years ago, but with AMD's Fusion e-350+6310 graphics, the toshiba 135D simply outclassed and outdated by today's standards. I wouldnt recommend it unless it was $200-$250.
i had one of these but sold it for a nice profit. its a great laptop.
newer model is out now T235.
