Well, it is a mouse after all

Does anyone else think the G700 looks a bit like the old MX1000?

Personally never buying any Razer products again, had the worse experience of any company I've bought from.

I Bought the Mamba, used it for about 2 months, was pretty good probably the best mouse i had used. But then disaster stuck. the mouse was having issues it became randomly unresponsive at random times with no consistency to its drop outs at all.

Tested it on many difference machines same random drop outs. and total lack of device detection at times.

Spoke with Razer they were vague and told me to reset the mouse and reinstall the firm ware and drivers, which I had already done after that continued to fail multiple times and I had to contact them several times, (also on a side note trying to fine there support email address was nearly impossible website is messy as hell)

They told me to contact their repair place in hongkong, so I did they told me I had to ship it to them and get it replaced. After doing all that (basically 2 months of time it took) paying for shipping I got a new mouse which has been working fine untill just recently. random drop outs and has become unresponsive... What a surprise.

(This is just my opinion and experience yours might be difference but, I'm going back to logitech and never looking back. Razer can shove it)

The G700 is a great wireless/wired mouse with the to caveats...

1) Upgrade the firmware/software package
2) This mouse seems to have a break in period due to its rather hefty weight.

The only lag I had with this mouse was for the first week due to slight momentary break in friction when moving this mouse from rest (due to its before mentioned hefty weight). As its feet, tether and my pad wore in, the lag went away.

This is the truth.

There's no such thing as a good wireless mouse for gaming, wired is too much of an advantage.

I chose Other, for this reason.

6 years competition level CS1.6 qualifies me to say this.

A blind test thought just came to my mind, what if your favorite mouse had a hybrid function to go wired/wireless like the G700/Mamba, I wonder if you or the pro-level gamers for FPS can tell if the mouse is currently running in wired or wireless mode.

I ask this because Im neither a pro-level gamer nor do I even bother with FPS outside the single player campaign, but I do play a lot of RTS.

1. goto best buy
2. buy both g700 and mamba
3. try both out for a week
4. when week is done return both mice.
5. make a decision.
6. buy the mouse you like better for cheap online.
7. be happy with decision.

its true that wired is better. cause of the response time from wireless.

i would choose either the g700 mamba or the g9x in my opinion.

depends if you like claw or palm. i typically like claw but who doesn't like palm

OP, I am proud owner of G700.. You got my vote G700.

1) Can make it a a wired mouse without battery.
2) Can customize program macros or single key for FPS or others.
3) Can use any Micro USB for charger or a wired since it uses a standard mini USB connection you can probably use an alternative cable if you wanted.
4) The Dual-mode Scroll switch on the G700: freewheel or click-round.
5) Can store 5 different profiles in the mouses on-board memory.

I hope all of this helps others decision.
