Can win7 64bit run 32bit apps etc ?

Thread Starter
So before I never bothered with a 64 bit OS, there were always huge complications with drivers and software not working...but is it true that win7 has that fixed ?

Win 7 64bit works perfectly for me, never had a problem like vista 64 or xp 64... and yes you can run 32bit apps ect.

Only time I can remember having any problem with 32 running in 64 was with XP and all you had to do was change it in properties.

The answer is yes*, with the asterix meaning most of the time. Most hardware that have any windows 7 drivers, have windows 7 64bit drivers, most software will run in 32bit compatibility mode. But there are always exceptions lurking somewhere in the shadows of programs written in some esoteric way that refuse to run on win764bit. However the vast majority of the time you will have no problem.
