Well that'd be a start, troubleshooting requires constant monitoring of all aspects of your system.
How much RAM usage?
How much CPU usage?
How much GPU usage?
What are the temperatures?
How long did you play for?
Are there any memory leaks?
Are your settings 100% okay, have you gone through Nvidia control panel and made sure your card isn't downclocking by enabling performance mode?
Are there any discrepancies in the data?
Are your drivers new? If so, you have to change your Nvidia settings again as new drivers don't always apply the settings.
Have you updated your drivers?
Have you backdated your drivers to see if it runs better?
You can go on and on all day with it really, but what you're looking for mainly is your FPS.
If there is input lag, do you have a slow response monitor and wireless mouse/keyboard, these can cause some strange lag issues.
You can edit the .ini file and change some of the configuration settings so that mouse acceleration is disabled etc... improves the feel of movement in the game.
I hope this helps
