I miss using this when I had my 580.
Since I have dual monitors the clocks on my 7970 fluctuate from 300-900 which is annoying. It's also keeping my idle temps higher.
I leave my PC on pretty much 24/7 also so this is really important.
Thinking of selling my 7970 and just get a 670 if this works on it.

i cant see why it wouldn't i don't have 670's or any 6xx series to test with (no one wants to buy my 2x570s frown.gif )

i've noticed for the latest version of nvidiaInspector this no longer works 100% perfectly (ie it does not make shortcuts how it used to after the latest update) after this friday, i will be updating the guide with a simpler one to achieve the same thing.

My PC is on 24/7 too. I force P states manually via 2 batch files. Engaging full clocks for gaming is no more challenging than clicking the overclock icon in start menu.

The P8 mode (324/324 clocks) on the GTX670 is more than enough power to do every day tasks. Blurays only use 25% GPU and older games still run at high fps.

nvidiaInspector.exe -forcepstate:0,8 = P8 mode
nvidiaInspector.exe -forcepstate:0,0 = P0 mode
nvidiaInspector.exe -forcepstate:0,16 = Return to Default

I'm playing a bluray right now with 30% fanspeed. GPU is a toasty 27c smile.gif

GUIDE UPDATED!

after the last update of NVinspector it no longer made certain shortcuts so the guide was outdated, it is now updated to reflect this change of the programs behavior.
download links have also been updated to this new version
if anyone follows the guide and finds problems please list them here.

Im also wondering if this should be incorporated into a sticky, every-time its bumped more people seem to find it helpful until its buried under all the threads :\

On my triple screens the clocks for my 670 are 324/324 at 0.987mv. When I play youtube video even 720p the clocks rise up for a couple secconds and then come down to these numbers.

That sounds like its not down clocking properly and is stuck in 3d clocks 2d p12 state is usually around 50mhz on the core and 200mhz mem. Disappointing to see its still broken in Kepler :/

Cards have 3 states not 2. On dual it just switches from high and low power 3d modes this is the problem

Can't seem to get this working with my 2x 560 Ti. When on the Multi Display Power Saver window, as soon as I tick the card that I want to target (GPU0) the main monitor (1) gives me a grey or blue screen till I untick. Any suggestions?

Rig is;

i5 3750k
16gb 1600mhz RAM
2x GTX 560 ti Twin FROZR II
1x 1920x1080 120htz monitor on GPU0 DVI 1
1x 1920x1200 60htz monitor on GPU0 DVI 2
Also a HDTV 1080p on GPU1 using the mini hdmi, which is only turned on when watching TV or movies.

Thanks.
