Comcast has had bandwidth caps for over a year.... at least Comcast is laid back about it. I regularly go beyond the cap, and they haven't charged me or suspended service.

I just called to get a year refund because the idiots left me on an overloaded line and I also asked if the caps were actually coming and her exact words were "Yea but they're not as bad as they sound." I laughed. Oh nice call center girl if you only knew the world of **** these caps will bring to even "average" usage customers in the near future as usage naturally increases. She also said that the average customer uses 30GB a month I think it was.

I cry for my fellow brothers who use netflix. It's like a company coming out with a faster car every year but you can only drive it 50 miles a month. Worthless pile of **** companies halting progression. Man I'm raging again.

I wonder how companies like Netflix, or Blizzard or other paid for streaming/high data transfer sites are going to feel about this.

On 25Mbps internet, it takes 48,000 seconds to reach 150GB
800 minutes
13.333 hours Continuous maxed use? Correct me if I'm wrong.

25Mbits/8(bits per Byte)= 3.125Mbytes*60seconds= 187.5Mbytes*60minutes= 11.25GBs in one hour. 150GB/11.25= 13 1/3 hrs.
You are correct sir, that is if you get the advertised speed of 25mbits/s the whole time....

yes that would be correct, however the 25Mbps connection is U-verse I believe and will have a 250GB cap, so it will be just over 22hours 12 minutes

No IPT for you, then...

This seems to be a ploy to kill torrents.
