Need Help with Ram timings frequency and voltages

Thread Starter
I'm unsure where i would post this but i guess if this is the wrong place it'll get deleted or moved.. but i had purchased 8 gigs of CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMP4GX3M2B1600C8. here are the specs

Cas Latency: 8

Voltage: 1.65V

Multi-channel Kit: Dual Channel Kit

Timing: 8-8-8-24

ECC: No

Buffered/Registered: Unbuffered

the problem is that my Bios is saying target frequency is set to 1333 and CPU Z is saying....

NB Frequency: 2006.8Mhz

DRam Frequency: 668.9 Mhz

FSB : DRam: 3:10

Cas# Latency: 9.0 clocks
Ras# to Cas# Delay 9 clocks
Ras# Precharge 9 clocks
cycle time 24 clocks
Bank cycle time 34 clocks
Command Rate 2T

Now im currently running a Crosshair III till i get my Crosshair IV MB back cause i got a bad board. but hopefully u can help me with this. and help me figure out what to do to get everything to where it needs to be or better.

go into the bois and set the volage to the specs and the speed to 1600 and reboot, then do the timings
post #3 of 10
The problem is that your CPU only supports DDR3-1333MHz natively, so that will be the default speed in the BIOS. For 1600 you have to set it manually. If the timings are not correct for that speed, set them manually, as well as voltage. try it and report if you still have problems.

Setting to rated doesn't work?
You sure the right voltage is set to 1.65V or whatever's rated?
It's DDR (Double Data Rate) so 800mhz is 1600mhz effective which is what you want.

Now you need to go in and adjust the timings
Cas# Latency: 8
Ras# to Cas# Delay 8
Ras# Precharge 8
cycle time 24
Command Rate 1T

You can leave everything else on auto. Make sure you set the voltage to 1.65v for the memory if you haven't already.

yes u can check the part number i had posted...it has all the specs (it's from newegg). and i have the frequency set to 1600 where it's suppose to be, and the voltage 1.65v where it's suppose to be and it's running fine in fact as im posting this reply that's where im currently running at..but like i said the timings are giving me issues...
