Kodak Zi8 or iPhone 4

Thread Starter
Right now there is a sale up at officemax for the kodak zi8 for $69.99. Is it worth pulling the trigger on one of these?

Or Should I just upgrade my iPhone 3 to the 4? How do the two compare video quality wise?

Any point in shoot is probably better then a phone camera, I will say though, that the iPhone 4 has the best camera I've seen on a phone, and I've tried like all phones that are currently out.

OP is talking about video not still photos. the iphone actually has just about the same video quality as the kodak just overall. if you really go and look at the quality of each one might have some benefit over the other but in reality they both will produce about the same video quality. iphone you can upload straight to facebook after taking a video im sure whereas the kodak you cant.

Here is what I would think about.
1. What are u going to be on more----Iphone 4
2. Which is better----Iphone 4
3. The camera on the Iphone 4 is pretty good anyways
4. I would go with the Iphone4 your going to be on it more and its going to be way faster then your old Iphone but if you just wait a couple months the Iphone 5 will be out so, honestly I would just wait until June and then upgrade to the Iphone 5

thanks for all the advice. I will probably wait til the iphone 5 comes out. I just saw a really good deal for the kodak zi8 and wanted to compare the video quality towards the iphone 4. If it was noticeably better I would've just bought the pocket camera. But thanks for the advice. Just saved me some money!

If your IPhone can record in 1080p and look as good as my Kodak Zi8....then go for it. This video is a good idea of what the Kodak Zi8 can do.

For that price I would buy the Zi8 right away. Heck of a deal for a great camera.
