bottleneck liquid cooling/xfire ques.

is it better to liquid cool 6950 biosed = 6970
Or is it better to liquid cool 6970
Just wondering with the lack of 2 wires at the plug, no fourms explain the wires
or the pci-e x2 plug, if it is necessary.
Seemed like a good thing if liquid and additional power
figured taking voltage up on liquid over clocking, grab all the voltage you can, get it to scream.
Looked for benchmarks couldn't find any
Other question, if you have 69xx liquid cooled xfired will they bottle neck 4gb
and high overclocking.
Didn't know if 256 bit, or the 2gb of memory = 4gb xfire would be a problem
like at least get a x6 cpu before two cards, kind of deal, high volts on NB
would like to see 6990 xfired liquid, just wondering if there would be smoke. 750 a pop seem's scary.
Well to sum it up 6970 balls to the wall ovr-clked chilled on liquid, is there a bottle neck. Restriction of power causing the baby to burn.

Im kinda confused by your questions.

When it comes to 6950 unlocked vs 6970 the 6970 will always win whether it is on air or liquid because the standard clocks are higher and there is more room for power draw. As for bottlenecking I wasnt really sure what your question was.

if your asking about oc'ing the 6950 on water compared to just geting the other card
get the other card, you can still oc it some with the stock cooling and even at stock clocks you wont beat it with the 6950 on water

Well this is what I'm interpreting here, 6950 doesn't come close to the 6970, even if 6950 was water cooled, it still wouldn't beat 6970 air cooled. I suppose, stream processors + 128 and assuming voltage you can take higher, pays off. Well the bottle necking with 256 bit, if bit has anything to do with it, and lets say 4 core cpu would there be restriction to the system. gpu cpu memory communication.
Yea this bit thing, I've done some searching and all is vague. only goes 128bit vs like 64 bit.
Then bit in memory, and hard drive, if anyone knows where the real info is please link.
I was just wondering if the gpu's power combined on liquid cooled would be redundant to the point of restrictive.

Um, putting a 6950 under water wouldn't miraculously make it a better card than a 6970. It's still a 6950....

water cooling doesn't guarantee a performance increase, trying to guess what a 6950 will do under water is pointless because no two cards are the same when it comes to overclocking them.

voltage with overclocking, and 6970 having a +2 pin pci-e connector more than a 6950. Will this effect performace like artifacts etc. So you crank up the 6950 like a 6970, then ovr-clk on liquid, will the missing power pins create problems.
