Okay, I talked with my buddy at Microcenter today ( Took receipt and $25 off intel board coupon in, They gave me that money back ) Anyways, Turns out these coupons ARE meant ONLY for the recipient, The code on the coupon is supposed to be tied to your email or something. He told me if they dont scan it, or notice. Go for it!! But corporate said its a no no and against TOS.. The people sharing their coupons could even be banned from the store

OT: But totally, this coupon + GTX 580 = Brand new GTX 580 for what like $480 ish after tax?

EDIT

I figured as much. These things always seem like they're too good to be true.

The coupons are based on your past purchases.
I didn't get one either, I just snatched the one off slickdeals.. Heck even had Microcenter print it out for me off my flash drive LOL!!!!.
And again the guy didn't even scan the coupon, sooooo they might not care that much. This is just what my buddy told me that works there...
I got $25 + tax ( $27 and some change ) back today, Just took in the receipt for my Saber tooth and the coupon. IMO I think people should still go for it. Use the coupons. Just say you got it in the email, not necessarily from Microcenter, Just that you got it in email. If anyone is going to get in trouble ( unlikely ) Its going to be the guy who shared his coupons.

Its hard to prove, but from what I can tell based on 470 threads on various forums, superclocked cards can always go beyond 850 core on stock bios.

If I had knew that before purchasing my vanilla 470, I would of spent the extra $20 for not having to flash my bios thus voiding my warranty just go around 900 core with insane voltages.

Flashing the bios is a touchy subject, If you kill the card, They would have no way to tell you flashed it. Some companies even support bios flashing IIRC..
Or you could just flash back to stock before you RMA ..
470's aren't great clockers, Trust me , I had 6 of them..
If you believe EVGA bins thier SC cards. Talk to FTW 420....

EDIT : Also my Vanilla 570 does 1 ghz core, and I flashed it to SC speeds on the Stock VID .987.. Can you explain to me why my card was not good enough to be a SC card???

"Other companies' are irrelevant, EVGA specifically does not support flashing bios. Additionally there isn't a vanilla 470 which is cheaper than this for this to be a "bad deal", you interjecting "derp u r wong" is not needed.
