ASRock 870 Extreme 3 Freezing [no BSOD]

Thread Starter
So for the past week or two I've have this issue, where no matter what I am doing at the moment, gaming or idle, My whole PC likes to just freeze. Let me go into further detail. I could playing BFBC2, I could be watching a video on youtube, or even just sitting there at my desktop and my computer will just freeze. No Blue screen, no error codes afterwards. Nothing. I have to force shutdown via power button to make my pc useable again. Temps are not an issue, as I've ran multiple types of stress tests on both my gpu and cpu without either getting anywhere close to hot. Furmark, intel burntest, prime95 (no issues.) I'm hoping one of you guys on here have some information that I just can't seem to find to help me get rid of this problem. Drivers/BIOS are up to date. Reformatted Twice. I'm running out of options.

System Specs:
ASRock 870 Extreme3
Gigabyte Radeon HD6870 OC
OCZ ModXstream-pro 600W
AMD Phenom 965BE x4 (3.4ghz)

It might be the mobo but I had the same thing happen to me and I ended up swapping everything around and then my PSU died a week after so I assumed it was that. I haven't had a problem since then but have you checked temps on the board. Maybe its over-heating.

I'm really hoping it's not a power supply issue =/ and for my board temps, they don't get hot at all. I got me some good cooling =]

it has nothing to do with the dang mobo lmao what memory do you have and whats the stock voltage for it? check and see if the Bios is under volting your memory i had the same problem. My memory is suppose to be at 1.9v it defaulted it to 1.8v so i set the volts in Bios to 1.995 im at 3.8ghz 24/7 stable no freezies. Overvolt your mem a little it should fix it.
