Hi there ,

I need some RAM advice please ,

Saw these new CORSAIR DDR3 4G PC3-12800 VENGEANCE

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...NCE+&x=13&y=35

and I wanted to know if they are alright ?

Also I am leaning towards getting a set of G.SKILL DDR3 4G PC3-12800 CL6 RIPJAWS XH (2Gx2) but am not sure if to go for better speed or better timing. I plan to run them on my ASUS P8P67 (B3) and Intel i5 2500K I just got !

Thanks

The corsair and G.skill are both at the same speed and both are nice brands. IMO just go the cheaper one as you will barely notice the difference.

Those Ripjaws XH's are sick. 1600 6-8-6 stock at 1.5v. You could probably even overclock them.

I saw the vengeance and got to wondering about them. They do run a lower voltage so I would hope that they run cooler and overclock better.

Don't go with the Corsair.

Those Ripjaws are so much better and also use 1.5v. 1600 C6 or 1600 c8 at 1.5. It's a no brainer.

I'd say go with the Ripjaws, just because they're the same speed but better timing. But it's not like you'll see a dramatic difference between the two.
