Sig Rig will not Post, Help please!

All I got to say is DAMN you Automatic updates this day keeps getting worst and worst, got nearly every word of the thread ready and my laptop (this thing I'm typing on) restarts...

Anyway with minimum detail of the preceding events that lead to my Main Rig not posting.

Main CPU fan (Never buy Scythe fans) died, (Was still at 3.8GHz Overclock) I didn't notice since no warning was given.

PC Soft Froze, Win Amp was still scrolling but no music, 3 minutes later, hard freeze, so I restarted. To learn that CPU Fan had failed.

I took side panel off and indeed has failed heatsink was very very warm, so not sure if CPU reached TJ sometime during its failure and that was what froze it.

Took off CPU HS, replaced Fan and Thermal, also reseated CPU.

The Fan was fried on its side, had a short across the yellow wire, also notable that it was incredibly difficult to turn , not free spinning, wouldn't only rotate twice, where a CM R4 would rotate like 40 times under same spin I gave it.

Booted up, same clock speeds, was fine, but decided to turn down clock speeds to give AS5 a chance to set since it was fresh and not going to perform well as I noticed giving it a quick burn very quickly reaching 80+, but Idle was lower this time so a good application.

Brought back down to Stock clocks, but tried to bring back PCH and IMC etc down, but I messed up IMC voltage as the "standard" as listed in Bios isn't close to the default, i.e. I set it to 1.115 and it was spos to be around 1.25 So I seriously undervolted it.

Anyway it booted fine, but the undervolt showed when doing burn test, and it failed about 95% in. bluescreen.

So I actually load up default setting and try again to boot, but... it would post and not boot? It was getting hung up right after trying to boot.

despite clearing CMOS and playing with various BIOS settings from XMP to Auto, complete default etc.

Nada it wouldn't boot but would Post.

So I figured Ok maybe I need to try and boot with 1 - 2 RAM sticks since it is getting hung up on DRAM according to the Mobo LED's.

So I tried 1 RAM, no Post, 2 RAM, no Post, 4 RAM, no post (this is default).

Clearning CMOS every time inbetween...

So now I'm stuck without a Post message, no beep or anything, just sits in lala land stuck on DRAM according to mobo.

So you've tried a variety of different number of RAM sticks, but have you tried a single stick, once in each slot and see if it works?

Try and grab other sticks off a friend or something and see if it boots.

It posts right? Can you boot to a CD? If you have a Linux live-CD lying around, try booting off of it.

If all fails, it's more than probably the motherboard gone bad, but I've never heard of something breaking because of UNDER-volting.

is your Q_led indicating anything?

No it doesn't post currently it was posting till I started playing musical chairs with the RAM.

I just removed the CMOS battery, see if that doesn't anything different then the Clear CMOS button.

Q_led would be the boot one right?

It goes CPU -> DRAM (briefly flashes CPU again) and then says hung on DRAM without POST.

AS for Ram configurations, I didn't bring out my manual for order of RAM but I did try what I knew for order.

I tried
one in first slot,
one in Second slot
one in Second slot, one in Fourth slot
all four.

Thats the combinations I've tried, thats normal ATX config left to rift 1,2,3,4

So either the RAM or the motherboard, I'd say probably the motherboard. Do you have another system you could test the RAM in?

No, I don't have or know of anyone with a DDR3 system.

Issue I have it was progressive, I was in windows fine after the initial crash, just stop responding closer I put it to default settings?

Remember everything today was initiated by my Fan Blowing up, so... considering this PC's amazing track record, it wasn't just magically pop, there goes my DDR3 or Motherboard, they have been through soo much worst.

I know, it doesn't make sense :/ Still doesn't post after taking the CMOS memory out for a couple of minutes?

If so, find a local (no chains!) computer shop and ask if they can test out your CPU and RAM by putting it in one of their systems. They'll probably let you free or just charge you a couple bucks for it, and at least you'll be certain.

Haven't tried putting back in memory yet going to in a minute, see if it will boot otherwise ya I'll do that.

if its not one thing its another, just put 5870 back in, and now oddly enough about 20 seconds into powering on, it makes a very large vibrating noise from the fan, so guessing a chunk of dust or hair.. or knowing my room... feather has found its way into the beast and is screaming...

but it isn't instant which is confusing, this was after trying to blow out the 5870 a bit.

On a different not since noise is unrelated to boot process, no boot lights were showing, no CPU, no DRAM nada. only the little orange light in the corner, after my Midterm tmw morning going to open up the manual and go through the diagnosis.
