"RMA" - what is it?

Thread Starter
I see the term RMA a lot in reference to when something is busted or fried, mainly in reference to hardware components. "just RMA it". I have no idea what this means, and was wondering if someone could spend five minutes to help out a newbie.

RMAing is the process of getting in contact with the manufacturer of your broken product, tell them its broken, shipping it to them, and getting a new/fixed model at little to no cost!

I'd suggest RMA either by live chat (on their website if you're lucky) or phone. It seems like with these two methods they'll RMA anything with no questions asked.
