1 reason why I am leaving ATI - Page 4

My apologies then, it seemed that way. But I wouldn't just say I had issues with something until I've really had issues with it.

Only reason why I'm so afraid to try ATI's latest drivers is like I said, I reformatted, installed 11.1, and instantly started having issues. Went back to 10.12a and I'm fine now for at least a month with no crashes or issues.

Anyone who says AMD drivers are a PEBKAC thing obviously haven't tried Linux.

Yup... Linux drivers aren't that good.

Several driver problems that I've encountered had to do with CF.
Most people screw around and use "driver sweeper" and create more problems than solve.
"my game just crashed, ah ati driverz!!!1"
Most of the time it's because they OC the crap out of their cards and think that one game is an indication of stability when it's not.

"But it ran just fine with 10 loops of Crysis!!"
What a load of crap...

and now I am moving onto xfire 4890s and I am preparing for a *****storm of driver problems
Running a 4850 and 11.2 has just been issue after issue first it was I couldn't keep the overclock I had before otherwise it would hang(didn't happen on 10.7) and know I'm having a problem where if I select 1080p in certain games it crops it and I get a black bar all around the screen.

I've had alot more joy with SLI than I did Crossfire. Games that supposedly don't support multi-GPU, can still make use of things such as SLI AA so the other card never feels redundant.

Two and a half years of crossfired 4870s. I'm on 11.2 now and tend to update the drivers every other month. Never found any of these problems people go on about.

The only game I have that hates crossfire is TDU2... but that's not ATI's problem.
