Beat Dragon Age 2. Kinda left unfulfilled :( *Possible Spoilers* - Page 3

At the end of it all, they kinda just leave you there. I wasn't able to do anything after I finished the game, except explore my house. I realize other endings are possible, but I have a feeling that in all possible endings, they just leave you there waiting for the inevitable DLC.

Sad face

They took something with so much potential, and ruined it. They made an excellent first game, and then shafted us on this one. I will be getting no DLC for this game due to that fact. Shame really, I got most of the DLC for the DAO and awakening because I enjoyed it.

They used the same alleys, mountainsides and such to cut down on the coding time. Now they just needed to lock some areas at different parts, and there is DA2. Hell, the maps even have the passageways still when the doors are locked. Really seems like thought and effort were absent in this one.

I wouldn't say it was a bad game. It was good, but not as good as it would, should, or could have been.

I just got finished playing Dragon Age 2, took about 3 days.

Tbh, I really didn't like the first one, the combat was really clunky, everyone in the game looked like they had botox injections all over their face and couldn't accurately represent facial expressions.

DA2 was a big step up I thought, it played physically more like WoW, It looked a lot cleaner and the graphics were quite respectable, the story was alright I just thought it was a bit short and the ending was kind of predictable and cut and dry. I liked the whole story telling with Varric aspect. I was more than happy with the content that was provided. I had that feeling at the end as the screen faded to black and the credits started to roll and that Florence and the Machine song played. I don't know how to describe it I was deeply into the game, having not skipped any dialogue or a cut scene. It felt like I connected with the characters more than I had in any other RPG game (Neverwinter Nights 2, KOTOR Series). Overall I was really quite satisfied and surprised thought it was going to be just like the original but it really caught me off guard. And kind of restored my faith in that series. Just my opinion. I rarely replay games, but I think I will with this one, I want to complete all the side quests and find out more about the characters I was not focussing on. Perhaps I'll play as a female as well this time.

I'm at an impasse with this game. I really liked Origins and played through it twice, one of only two games I've ever beaten and played through, in total, again (the other being KotOR, heh). I've recently beaten DA2 and started again but the "urge" to continue has since diminished.

The recycling of the same "dungeons" is almost nightmarish. Seeing the same turns, corners and areas is a monumental bore as well as walking around anywhere at night. Oh, I'm going to be attacked. Oh no. Ugh. I sided with the Mages and I still have to kill Orsino. Why? Dumb.

Worst of all, I didn't get to kill the High Dragon in my first run through and when I beat the game I can't leave my estate. ***? No random exploring? Again, dumb.

Although there were a few "unfinished and rushed aspects" i still rate this game as a must buy for RPG fans. Lots of fun and hours of gameplay. The ending definitely left room for Dragon age 3 i feel. You guys agree? Also what do you think will happen with this whole revolution going on? I rate that we will see Hawke again, seeing as they copied so much from Mass Effect.

I'd like to see Hawke again, I'd also like to be able to do the save forward thing and play with the past story, I wasn't able to do it with origins, im curious to know if anyone found anything drastically different playing with the origins save file? I would like to think their were big implications but I'm sceptical.
