Rainbow Six Vegas 2 TERRIBLE GAME - Page 3

Vegas 2 is an excellent game. It isnt easymode like all recent shooters.

I thought it was fantastic. The game is tactical not a arcade shooter like COD. Not sayin the game was perfect, but man is it fun! Co op with a few friends and try to clear some of the levels...so much fun. You actually have to have some sort of strategy, can't just run and gun and still expect to come out on top. Loved the first, loved the second. Hope there's more to come!

Still one of my favorite games, but for the life of me I cannot get the Co-op to work on my laptop. Never able to join a game. Works great on my gaming rig though. Best co-op out there IMO.

I thought the game was just a bit too easy on normal. Of course some parts were very frustrating (like the first time the helicopter uses a rocket/missile barrage) but you learn quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed the game but I do have some major gripes.

1) The textures on fire arms (specifically anything your team mates are using) are terribly low quality.
2) The game is not the most efficient, I have to run at 1280x720 to consistently keep the response timely.
3) Network play does not work all the time (Steam version anyway), which makes playing terrorist hunt extremely difficult to co-ordinate.
4) The bots do not all spawn at the same time (leading to some very interesting "WTH?!" moments).
5) You can carry too much ammunition. I never had to pick up guns no matter how recklessly I behaved.

So for the bargain price Steam has it, it is a good bunch of fun at a reasonable price. It is a nice break from TF2.

R6V2 is an epic game. you just have to play like you would in life with a gun and take a cautious approach rather than running into bullets.

but yes grenades = fail

R6 rogue spear was a great game, I never actually finished the last level, because I used to like playing it more like a single player game, using the other team members as extra lives.

Great weapon sounds too.

To the OP

I rather liked Vegas. It requires a tactical approach. If they raised the amount of damage you can take....well, that would defeat the purpose and the player would just go out with "gunz a blazin."

While Vegas is far from a realistic experience.
Reading peoples expectations that all games be absolutely unrealistic through and true, leaves me no other option but to believe, "If dead men really could talk.......", they would whine that it didn't take more bullets to kill me.

I think the issue is that Rainbow Six Vegas is not very realistic other than the damage model, thus making the game unfair in his eyes. Raven Shield was much more realistic. Even the weapon reloads were realistic e.g. if you had 13 bullets in the magazine and reloaded your weapon they would not automatically fill up in another magazine and go back to 30. Instead it would be reserved and you would come back to your 13 bullet magazine.

I think the trigger spawns are a bit much. I am trying to complete the solo mission on realistic but just as I think I have cleared out a space an enemy that was not there magically appears and wastes me from behind. The enemies should be present from the start on the map. They also have a sixth sense allowing them to pinpoint your location.

Gotta agree with most of the replies, I liked RSV2, I remember the good ol days when I would use Hamachi to do VPN lans with my friends and discussing strategies on ventrillo and being happy when it worked. I miss games like this, when is the next one coming out lol. Oh and ya the spawn triggers are retarded, it craps all over strategic planing sometimes.
