How many threads does a 4 "core" intel run?
Hyper threading...

If AMD can't compete on pure performance, then it will make up for this in price.

So it will either perform on par with the SB or be priced accordingly.

Whats most surprising is that Intel's SMT is no joke!

4 hyperthreads and 4 physical cores cannot match 8 physical cores, period.

It's not 8 physical cores, each "core" shares resources with it's twin in the module. Essentially you have 4 modules with full individual resources, each module with separate "cores" that share resources. They aren't full cores but they aren't exactly HT, I think it's an apt comparison.

Thats why the 920 still beat the Phenom X6. AMD Fanboys were like, but but but it has 6 cores!!!! Its revolutionary!!!

Bulldozer will change the way we think of "cores"due to the fact its totally differnt. This is why they need to be compared by Price anyway.

Price to power, is more important anyway.

No I don't want a Bulldozer because it has more cores and cost the same and that's not fair...
^^^is this what you are saying?

Thanks! that's what I meant.
This being said, How could compare core to core performance?
YOU CANT!
But the truth is the 8 "core" is closer to being a 4 core with HT!
Only Way more efficient!

Show me what a physical Bulldozer "Core" is... And if you are right ill eat my words.
