i dont want to put a router because im linving in a building where stupid people will keep asking me about the router password so they have free internet and i dont want to give them a connection from my account :@ and if i said them "no password" they will get angry and talk stupid things about me.

Just tell them you want to know the password too.
Crank the power up to max so they can't tell exactly where the signal is originating from.

Hide the SSID then. Or for the router's option don't broadcast it. You can still connect to it that way.

If you want to take a step further then you could even have MAC filtering. Any networked device won't be able to connect to the router without it being on the allowed devices list for the router.

These measures are good enough to keep the level of user that would just ask for your password at bay, but keep in mind you want to use something like WPA2 with a long password, too.

Anyone with a linux laptop can change their MAC to a user that's connected to your AP if this is your only means of security.

HIDE the ssid like other users have said, and use some good security, with a good password, then just deny you even have a network...

Or windows. I used to do it in hotels/schools all the time. I'd register one device, usually my phone, then just change psp/laptops mac address to match phone so i didnt have to re register all the devices.
