Uh isn't this the first line:
The class action plaintiffs in In Re SONY PS3 “Other OS" Litigation have filed their Amended Complaint [PDF] that they hope will fully address the deficiencies that the judge found in the original filing, and it's dynamite.
This is just what Sony was being accused of or sued over the OtherOS Removal. Not what they have proven. This is just purportedly the class action law suit against Sony. The first claim was bogus and the judge threw it out.
I can claim them of hiding space monkeys in a lawsuit if I want to. A claim doesn't make things true, hence the thread name should be changed to "Groklaw Shows The Class Action Lawsuit Claims Against Sony".

It has pretty much common sense that they pulled the plug for financial reasons ever since they did it.
Every console in the history of console making has lost money on the initial production runs. All money is recouped by the software titles etc. The PS3 was no different than the Xbox 360 was losing money every console sale for the first consoles.
It is also now cheaper to produce than in the past especially on the new slim re-designed models using smaller fabrication processes.Edited by RagingCain - 3/14/11 at 10:34am
