First I want to say hello becouse im new in the forum.

So I want to overclock my 8500GT ( Memory Size 512MB, Memory Type DDR2, Default Clock 500MHz, Memory 350MHz, Shader 1100Mhz ), but I have problem with ATiTool - I cant scan for artifacts, it gives me error. So if someone can tell me how do I fix this. Thank you!

Don't use ATITool. Its development was stopped years ago.

Furmark has an artifact test.

Tech Power Up GPUtool is a pretty decent piece of software for artifact detection.

But I should use this program to OC it or only for artifact detection? If no I should use EVGA Precision or RivaTuner?

ok 648Mhz from 500 ( Default ), Memory 351 MHz from 350, Shader 1458Mhz from 1100Mhz
66C (While under stress test) is this good, is there any risk?

Welcome to OCN.

Download OCCT and run the GPU error test to check for artifacts. If it errors your OC is unstable.

My lady had an Asus 8500GT awhile back and I can say the card OC'ed like a beast, there sure wasn't much of a performance increase out of the huge overclock I gave it though.

This card just won't cut it though for modern games for the most part. Suppose you could get get by on lower settings, but even the next step up (8600) is noticeably better.

Just watch your heat under GPU load and you should be ok, especially if you haven't increased the cards voltage.

I gotta say that I tried MW2 after the overclock and it was ALOT (!) better now I hope it is stable, without risk.

EDIT: 330seconds, 0 errors

That means is stable?

EDIT2: Why after every reboot there is no OC o.o I mean, I rebooted and now its again 500Mhz.

What program were you using to OC? I personally like Afterburner which allows you to save 5 OC profiles so that you don't need to keep re-entering them manually.

Also a 5.5 minute test is not nearly enough to determine stability. Try to get 20 out of it. Or more if you're ballsy.
