Any upgrades that I would benefit from?

I received a nice little bonus at work this past week, now I'm not looking to just blow my money but if there is anything that my PC would really and truly benefit from please let me know. I'm more interested in gaming performance. Rig is in the sig.

id say your pretty well off. If you wanted to improve it some, you could spend some money on faster hdds or ssds or even a new 6 core proc.

you could always get a better gpu cooler so you could overclock it. Other than that, i dont see much need for any major upgrades at the time being.

if you really wanted some update, a new motherboard and some ddr3 ram could offer a little improvement as well.

I thought about a SSD but I wasn't overly impressed with the one I installed on my work pc. It used a Sandforce controller(I believe is the good type?) made by AData, excellent reviews but maybe I expected to much. Would gaming see much of an increase though, I install all of my games to a separate hdd.

Thought about memory as well but I've never really been over 3.6GB used, not sure 8GB is required yet.

The video card should arrive tomorrow, it's replacing a 4890, I opted for the XFX with the dual 80mm fans instead of the single fan that does not even look like an 80mm. Hopefully this will keep it semi quiet and cool. I'm hoping to get a "modest" OC out of it.

I agree with what's been said. You are set. Put the money away for a year in a CD or something, and then use it to help your upgrade to bulldozer or Ivy Bridge or w/e is the best bang for the buck then.

Soundcard, SSD(Recommend vertex2) Have one, like or some more ram. Another 6950 at a stretch.

I would not recommend getting a 6core cpu for gaming.

Kinda weak to get $150-250. But if you don't have a better use...

Buying more DDR2 would not be worth it, its way too expensive. Though an SSD would be worth it.

Not really able to set it aside in a CD.. if I don't use it my wife will end up going shopping.. so it's one of those things.. I'm not going to waste it on something I don't need but if the PC gets a new toy rather than my wife going shopping it's not going to be a bad thing

Will an SSD improve my gaming much seeing how I install my games to a separate HDD? I have an extra one of these at work that I can use if it's worth using.

Adata 64GB SSD
