If they end up not honoring this, then they at least owe your father 3 hours worth of gasoline.

There's a lot of idiots in Microcenter. I went there last Dec. to purchase the i7 950 for $200. The Sales rep was recommending a lot of stuffs for me to buy with it. I said that I am only gonna buy the CPU. He said I cannot buy the CPU unless I buy something else like a Video card. I said are you serious? He said yeah. His boss told them to be an aggressive seller coz they are losing money on the CPU's, They need to get it back on some other items. And So I left him.
Then the other reps ask me if I find everything OK. I said no. and told them what the dude just told me. They were embarrassed about it and I am actually talking to the store manager and told me that he's gonna get the CPU himself and give it to me.

To make the Story short, they are kinda shady over there.

I went friday and the AMD combo I was buying was not coming up correctly. The manager was called over and said they were having problems with combos, he put in the correct price though and I was on my way.

Shoulda pushed for the correct price.

Screw MC and their shady employees.

When i went there...after 5-6 hours of bus riding for the 2600k, i was told it was out of stock.

Well guess what, some employee was hiding about 3 2600k's in the back and another employee stumbled on it and brought it out. luckily i grabbed his attention and got it.

No way I would have given them one penny if they tried jerking me around like that. Leave with what you want for what you rightly should pay. If they can't honor that then they don't deserve any of your money.

Microcenter near me is ok Fairfax in VA. Not all employees are knowledgeable but are helpful.

Worse thing I experienced was a promotion on the website but the actual store offered the deal only through Rebates, so the sale was a little different from what was advertised but the ending price was the same.

When I bought my Q9550 I asked specifically for the box # for the e0 stepping (they were all e0) and the manager was kind enough actually go and look.

Thread Starter
Apparently, my dad did not get the name of the representative that he spoke to at the Micro Center at the Long Island/Westbury location. He describes him as a rude person though.

I guess my dad was passive about it, allowing the representative to belittle him into accepting a crappier motherboard as a substitute.

I'll see if I can get the name of the employee, though.

But Micro Center hardly cares about their Reseller Ratings, how could I even get their attention? Their live chat support person was apathetic and seemed like she had no idea there was even a CPU + Motherboard promotion going on.

What about the name of the guy you spoke to who told you that you guys could get the $120 price? That's who's responsible, not the guy your dad talked to in person.
