Need confirmation on build before purchase

Hey all so making a pc for gaming/media and other stuff just wanted to make sure everything is compatible and if I should change any parts? I will probably change the motherboard because of the stock levels was thinking of gigabyte ud4 and asrock extreme 4 what y'all think?

Looks good to me. I don't particularly like the monitor because LG is over priced trash, but that is just my opinion. Maybe consider investing in a water cooling system?

Also, there are probably many people here who would disagree with me... but I'd skip the 1TB drive and go with like 2 500's. I like have separate drives, you never know what could happen. =P.
I have 4 separate. One for linux, one for windows, one for media, one for backup. Screw partitions.

Well for one, if your just going to play games and watch media you really don't need the Intel 2600k. You will notice no difference with the 2500k in terms of performance, only difference you will know is the extra $100 in your pocket.

I read the review here about the monitor http://www.prad.de/en/monitore/revie...l#Introduction. I also like that this monitor is height adjustable. I was thinking about doing raid not sure what are good hd for that

If your media usage includes transcoding lots of movies the 2600K is worth it over the 2500K, if not then the 2600K is a waste of money fro your purposes.
I went with the Asrock Extreme6 and I couldn't be happier with my choice. Asrock has some really nice P67 boards IMO.

That's cool. Like I said, the LG thing is just an opinion, it might actually be a great monitor.
As for the raid, I don't know how much of a pack rat you are. I still recommend picking up two or more 500's.

If you are on a budget, then consider two of these drives.

If not, then consider picking up two of these.

What exactly do you mean by media usage? I mean unless you're like encoding hours of video every day, you should just get an i5 2500k and just 4GB RAM instead of 8GB. Also don't get a 570 they're lame. Get a 560Ti.

I am installing the cpu socket into the motherboard and the retention lever is really stiff to push down how much force is needed. I made sure the gold triangles are lined up also it is p8p67 deluxe and cpu i7-2600k
