Unfortunately NONE of the boxes said anything a bout response time, nor does the costco website.

I read an article that said the average these days is 4-6msec for these kinds of TVs.

I was going to get it at Costco since I can always return or Swap it out for another one.

I always purchased "Computer MOnitors" But considering getting an LCD or LED (Not sure why its so "special" ) or even a Plasma for gaming, and general computer use.

The size of the monitor pixels makes no difference in performance, only the resolution/number of pixels do. I love my 40" Samsung led as a monitor, but I sit a good 5 feet away from it. Watch out though, mine has a 4ms response time. But some cheaper hdtv's have up to 10ms response times which will be noticeable.

I'm on a 42" and I have to sit about 5' away. Make sure the response time is nice and you won't have an issue. It doubles as my TV. Yes, I just said that.

I don't post a lot, 99% of my questions are answered after I use the search bar, and unfortunately these days I don't have enough time to dive into discussions about the latest in greatest. Be able to browse at least keeps me updated and somewhat in the loop!

Thanks for all the responses, I think I found myself a birthday present.

Anyone tried gaming with an LED vs. an LCD? Some Fry's employee was trying to sell me on the idea, but didn't give me any reason besides "its better."

LED monitors don't really exist right now, unless that little 11" sony OLED is still available. when people incorrectly say LED they are referring to an LCD with a LED backlight
