[KG] XFX Offers HD6990 "OC Mode" Warranty Support - Page 4

I would be happy about this if XFX was any good in Australia My mates have had nothing but trouble when they've bought an XFX product down here.

Powercolor is offering it too, in addition to XFX. Is it 100% confirmed that Sapphire is as well?
XFX has always been an amazing partner for both teams, when Nvidia got stupid and fired them... they could focus on AMD, and from that, their cards are amazing...

I know with all these manufacturers dedicated to AMD and AMD only, the Red tide, will once again, rise from the ashes!

How does Powercolor rate against XFX and Sapphire?

why is AMD laying off hands on the failure of these cards??does it come with a kaboom feature??

or did they just hurried to release it before the NV counterpart comes off..and never took the chance to test it's components out..

I suggest you do some research about the OC mode - especially the part about 375W on the default BIOS setting and the potential 450W with the OC mode. Then perhaps you can see why AMD is not covering OC mode in its warranty.

God, I hate it when you AMD/ATI and Nvidia fanatics make snide little comments about the other vendor. For an average user, I can see how it can be a total turn-off when asking a question or asking for assistance.

Too bad you will send your card in and they'll reply "It was in OC mode but that's cool; now about that white residue..."
