Barbs and other questions

Hey guys, first time making a new thread but I had just a few basic questions since I finally started ordering some of my parts. Anyways I was just wondering what your guy's recommendations on barbs were because on the websites I'm never entirely sure which ones to get. I have 7/16" ID primochill tubing so I was going to try to go for 1/2" but just wanted to know what company to go with. Also if I wanted say like 90 degree fittings do those go straight into the hole? or do they go into the barbs and connect there? I'm putting an mcp 355 with an xspc top on so head pressure really shouldn't be a problem. Sooo yeah which brands have you had good experiences with or does it simply not matter?

Next question: If I were to run 2000 RPM R4s to push and then the gentle typhoons to pull would I hear sound wavering even if I managed to get them to run at the same RPM? I plan on using a fan controller to control the voltages and hopefully line up their RPMs but yeah. I realize it would be easier to just make them all GTs but I already have the R4s and would rather not have to spend another 80 dollars on fans (50 if they were coming from the group buy)

Also, has anybody heard anything about that gentle typhoon 2150 group buy? It's been 3 weeks since the threads closed (I think) and I've been anxious to order mine. If we can't get them soon I might just end up buying the 1850s =/.

The loop will consist of an mcp 355 + xspc top, 2 240 BI GTX rads, an xspc single bay res, as well as an ek supreme hf and an ek full cover block for the 580, just in case any of that info is important.

For barbs 1/2" or 7/16" are the ones you want for your 7/16" tubing. You can go the expensive compression barb route if you want otherwise use clamps. 1/2" will be a nice tight fit with the 7/16" and you probably wont need clamps but it never hurts to be cautious.

For 45/90 there are 2 types. There are adaports which you screw the barb into. The 2nd is just a barb at 45/90.

Best to stick to the same fans but I would think that as long as the rpms matched you would be ok.

I just set up my watercooling system 2 days ago. I got most of my parts from Jab-tech.

Here are the barbs and compression fittings I got.

I used 7 of these: http://www.jab-tech.com/Bitspower-Tr...5-pr-4400.html

two of these: http://www.jab-tech.com/Enzotechnolo...U-pr-4691.html

and one normal barb that came with my gpu block.

My loops includes my CPU and GPU.

About the angled barbs, mine rotate till they fit tightly then mount starts to rotate so you can put it at any angle you want.

Using stuff like true silver, you probably wouldn't need to worry about adding biocides.

Edit: you could save your self some trouble, wiring, tubing, etc by just using a 360 rad. It would be capable of doing just fine.

I bought the XSPC G1/4 to 1/2" barbs. I put the 7/16" tube over it and no clamps. My reason of not putting clamps is because clamp sizes got messed up twice when I ordered. So, had to make do without them. But the way the 7/16" fits over that 1/2" barb, I doubt you will need any clamps, especially with the amount of pressure in a water cool loop.

Thanks for the responses guys but yeah the thing is if I were to put in a 360 Id have to lose my last harddrive cage and put them somewhere else so thats why theres a 240 there and another 240 in the back because more rad never hurts . I also did choose to get the silver just so I wouldnt need to measure the pt nuke or anything. But yeah, any news on those 2150s? x_x
