Hi, I'm Back :) . . . With a Crosshair iV

Hi, Since I managed to erase the bios on my m4a88td-v, I have not been on OCN until my ASUS Crosshair iv Arrived, but now it has i am back lol.

First impressions are great, I had a raid array on my old mobo and I thought that I would have to se-set the raid array, thus loosing all of my data, but it just booted straight into windows after a 10 sec scan , needless to say I was impressed.

Then I applied the same overclock I had on the evo (13.5x300) and set it to 1.45v, on my old mobo, the LLC would raide it to well over 1.52 under load and a lower vcore setting in the bios woud lead to a BSOD, but the CHIVF increases the vcore to a max of 1.49v under LLC and there are no BSOD's so it must be a cleaner power delivery ( any other explanation)

And thats it really, it looks really good inside of my HAF 932 (I will Get a Pic up soon!)

Elis!

Well I was looking to update the bios, and the tool I used (that came on the CD) was not compatible with 64 bit win 7 for some reason, so it erased the bios but failed to write the new bios so the pc just wouldnt boot !

I suppose I could have got a new bios chip but it was the perfect opportunity to upgrade !

Uh, I guess it worked out in your favour after all. So, did asus replace the board or did you have to buy a brand new one?
Incidentally I have a HAF932 too. I have painted it black. Would love to see the pics of your set-up. Do remember to post them here, and CONGRATZ on the new mobo
