I have this ASUS monitor and I was wondering do you guys think it would be worth it to get blu ray for such a small screen? I would get this drive and this software to play it. Let me know what you guys think!

i tend to feel that blu-ray makes the film a bit more defined and the colors a bit better. over all the most noticeable thing if you get blu-ray will be the colors. If you have extra money to burn, i would say go for it My GF has blu-ray on her 23 inch and says she notices a difference from dvd.

I watch 1080p on my monitor (very similar asus 21.5") and I feel the difference is worth it. personally, I think it looks weird to have 1080p stretched onto a 40"+ screen and that this size fits it perfectly.

hell, I watch 1080p on my 12" netbook (even though it has a 720p screen). even though it's downscaled, there is a difference.

As long as you don't sit too far away from the screen, it's worth it. Of course the same holds true for any size screen.

If your screen is 1080p it will look better then a big screen, the smaller the screen the better it looks to a degree..

The only thing holding me back is I use Netflix streaming and never really buy dvds so I feel like I'll never get a bluray for the thing.

Simple, just add the Blu-ray option to your Netflix subscription, I think it's only a couple of dollars extra a month.
