I'm going to be overclocking an i7 950. before I overclock it says my qpi/dram voltage is at 1.4 but a guide im following doesnt mention it. should I leave it to auto when ocing or leave it at 1.4?

1.4v is hot IMO.
Looks as if someone has set dram bus & qpi/dram core voltage.

DRAM bus volts look good if 1.65 is spec for your ram.

You didnt mention your guide, link??
We have lots of guides here @ OCN and your welcome to read.

When overclocking its a good idea to know what your changing in bios.
google your motherboard for reviews and read through some/many.

read your user manual too, it has bios in it, although definitions are usually vague.

At top of page is usercp, clik & go to edit sig or system so someone can help you easier.
