[Reuters] iPad 2 sales seen clearing 1 million units - Page 4

That might be your opinion but I don't think so. That was my honest opinion of the ipad 2 with a small bit of humour. You're really going a bit overboard.

No, I'm not. It's trolling, not to mention completely inaccurate.

Javascript benches clearly shows that it is only ~1.6x faster then the ipad. You even posted them yourself. ._.

It consists of the same OS, same functionality with slightly better performance. HDMI, rear facing camera, all that jazz have very little value. 32GB stuff with music + 1-2 HD movies makes that HDMI not very useful. The screen res is the same, making 1024x768 decent, but outdated.

Can you do the same thing with it as its predecessor? Yup. Is it faster? Yep. Does it have extra features that have barely any use...yup. Is it fun to play with? Yes. I find loads of features beneficial as I like to keep active, but that doesn't mean it is a great product.

Is it a bad product? Nope. Does these extra features make it pointless. Nope.

In the SunSpider Javascript Benchmark, yes, but that isn't indicative of overall performance. It's only a single threaded benchmark.

The iPad 2 is really "up to" 2x faster. If the task is multi-threaded, it should be able to be executed a little more than twice as fast, although it varies. The GPU performance is "up to" 9x faster, it also varies. It also uses 512MB LPDDR2 RAM unlike the iPad's 256MB LPDDR.

It's 33% thinner, 15% lighter, offers dual cameras (good for video, not so much stills) and still manages to keep the same battery life.

It's a large upgrade in performance, not a small one. I'm just saying: it's not "just" 1.6x faster.

Thank you Chunky, you're an awesome mod, and you were an awesome poster before you became a Mod, if he honestly does not believe what he says is trolling, God help him in life.

You've got to be joking and stop censoring and deleting posts. Unless there's swearing or insults it's really not necessary.
Your "analysis" of the iPad pretty much fits all tablets. They're all smaller than most laptops, less powerful, have smaller screens. And, no keyboard? Really. It's a freakin' tablet, that's part of the design of all tablets...
