Yes, games are a media form and there's R18+ movies. I don't see why they don't pull their thumbs out and move along with society.

I just take it as the "best beaches and awesome economy" tax

hmm, i missed the $1000 part haha.

but still, they cant stick you for a first time offense. especially when its something like a video game. unless you surf the net, gaming websites etc like we do, you would not know its banned.

i can tell you now, its not like the banned games get advertised as being banned in local media like a newspaper or something.

hell, we had Left4Dead 2 commercials running wild when it came out, and it got censored to bloody G rating down here. no one would know any better.

so if me the poor little innocent ebay buyer saw a cheap copy from overseas and thought i'd save some money and buy it, and customs stuck me with a fine, i'd be taking it a lot further.

i seriously doubt they would find it anyway.

An R18+ rating will probably come now that Atkinson's gone, it's just a matter of poor timing.

With the NSW election coming up and the incumbent Labor government heavily tipped to get the boot, the Attorneys General have postponed a decision on the issue until the SCAG meeting in June.

I mean, you need a unanimous decision from the AGs, but if the NSW AG is going to be replaced, it's better to wait and allow negotiation than to pass a decision only to have it overturned when the new Liberal Government is sworn in.

The good news is that even though most of the AGs are quiet about the issue, pretty much all have indicated that the classification system will need to be looked at in depth. So, it's likely that they will vote for it as long as they don't look too desperate to support it.

Its not the whole government, there has to be a unanimous vote for this to be passed, and I believe there is one or two massive wanekrs!! Who keep opposing it >
