Mobo choice for i5 2500k

Thread Starter
I am purchasing a i5 2500k (not planning on crossfire or overclocking)

Which one of these would you choose, or none of the above?

I was looking at the asus but what does LE mean and is it bad?

Asus:

Biostar:

These are the only things they have in stock, what do you think?

First off, if you aren't planning on overclocking, save yourself $30 and buy the i5 2500. It's the same chip as the 2500K, only not very overclockable (hence the $30 price difference).

As for the motherboard, I'd definitely go with the Asus.

if you genuinely don't plan on overclocking don't get a "k" chip...it's not much more than the standard i5 2500...but..if you know you really won't oc then dont get a k chip...the Asus board listed is great..and so are the biostar boards..you really can't go wrong with any boards for this generation of processors

I would get a K chip either way but that's just me; the resell value of the K chips would be greater then non k chips

Honestly if you're not overclocking then just find the cheapest 1155 board you can. 1155is made for overclocking and that's where the big dilemma of which board comes into play. Since you're not interested in either overclocking or Crossfire/SLI just go with the least expensive. As for quality, all the boards are too new for long term quality to be determined so its no more a risk then the most expensive board (quality-wise) at this point.
