Is this a good P67 motherboard - Page 3

You STILL failed to answer my questions.
What are the part numbers and manufacturers of those "super high quality" caps and chokes? Just cuz something looks more silverish or goldish doesn't mean its higher quality :/

DETAILS, PLEASE.

Otherwise, you're just spreading FUD.

You had your reasons to go with that board, but others like a better priced product for the same end result.

How much did you pay for your Evo? ( rhetorical question )
And also I tried two other boards, that were unable to provide the "same end result" confused.gif
Also reasons I went with it??
Because Microcenter had it in stock tongue.gif

It wasnt for any other reason, tell you what tho. I'm damn glad I did.

Well, I bought it off newegg when they had them in stock, and I had a couple promo gift cards, so I got it for $197.

I miss the good ol' days when we argued about ATI being first, and Fermi being a fail...
Now its come down to us arguing over 10 and 20 measly dollars over motherboard choices..
( I spend $20 on lunch ffs )
This is stupid, Boring, And wasting my time. I learned quite a lesson here tonight.
That is to let you kids do what you do. I am done trying to help anyone...
Buy the Gigabyte, buy the PRO, Buy a hooker for all I care..

Oh and to the guy that wants more deets. Look it up. I'm not taking my board completely out and taking the cover off just to take pics of them for you.
I can tell you it was the most quality looking VRM setup Ive seen in person..
Also puts out more voltage while producing less heat than my previous board.. Indication of quality.

Point is, This is DUMB, Imma smoke some, and go to bed..
To any mods, I'll take my infraction like a man.

You shouldn't get so worked up over a simple civil debate. And hey, $20 is a half a tank of gas. lol

Besides, the OP practically decided he was going to go with the pro because it would help his budget.

I need a motherboard for a 2500k.
And the Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD5-B3 seems to be the one for me thinking.gif
But that's only if the bottom 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (running at x4) is fast enough for a GTS450 used for PhysX

So my questions are.
Is it a good motherboard?
And can I use the bottom PCIe 2.0 slot for a GTS450 as a dedicated PhysX card ninja.gif

Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD5-B3 Intel P67 (Socket 1155) Motherboard - B3 Revision
Core i7 / i5 / i3 Support, ATX, DDR3 (max 16GB), 8 x USB3, 8 x USB2, 2 x SATA 6Gb/s, 4 x SATA 3Gb/s, 2 x eSATA, RAID, Firewire, 2 x SPDIF, 7.1 Audio

nice mobo, but my vote goes to asus p8p67 ws revolution/asus p8p67 deluxe

BTW I'm not trying to flame you deliberately, Capwn.

In another thread, a *MOD* himself directly stated that the sabertooth was marketing hype, unless it can be proven that it uses higher quality components. Those were his own words.

I have a reason for being so difficult.

I'm trying to find a suitable motherboard to give to a friend, since I'm giving him my second 2600k that requires too much voltage for 5 ghz. (yes, giving). And he needs a board, and the saber was under my radar. But I don't want to spend more than $200 for a board for someone that young, so...otherwise I'd get him a UD5 B3.

But I don't want to buy into marketing hype.

honestly, who cares about $20 on a >$200 item; that is less than 10%. that is like skimping on the cheese on your hamburger from mcdonalds because you can get a slice of cheese from the grocery store for cheaper. ITS NOT A GOOD VALUE TO GET CHEESE!! i mean come on... they will both oc about the same, they perform relatively the same, pay the extra $20 if you like the looks or think the design might help with airflow etc. It has been shown in some reviews that the thermal armor actually does drop temps a few degrees throughout the whole board vs taking the armor off. marketing gimmick? perhaps, but it does serve its purpose to some degree (no pun intended there) and to some, those few extra degrees is worth it.

am i missing somthing here? the sabertooth is cheaper than the ud5 by about $50. the ud5 goes for $260 on the egg that is ~30% over your budget.

You necrobumped an old thread.
And you also misread my post.
The post you quoted.... :/

I said, *IF I WANTED TO SPEND MORE THAN $200*, I would get my friend a UD3 B3.

Where did I say that I AM buying him a UD5 B3? Nowhere.

In fact I already made up my mind awhile ago. He's getting a UD4. That's what you get for necroing.
