could this be cooling issues or bad card?

Thread Starter
so i have a 6970 sapphire...i try to overclock it and cant do much at all...play with volts and everything and just cant get it to run stable...just played around and put it at 950/1450 at 1.3v and soooooo many artifacts it was rediculous...my screen was full of them so im wondering if water cooling would help with the overclock or if i should refund and get a new one.(still have time to refund)

It could be the card....some boards just don't OC well. I think you should put everything to stock and see what your temps are at. Then do small incremental overclocking and see what happens. Water cooling may help, but not if the board isn't overheating.

1450 is a little to high for these cards. Cut it back to 1350 or a little more, that's it.
