Do be fair you don't know if he was acting on his own or if he was directed to do it.

I hate the bioware social network & especially the moderators over there, they are complete asinine jerks..

I threw the one game I had by them in the trash, it's was too old anyway.

Dragon Age was as spinoff of that game & it's just not the same thing, nevertheless, I never bought it, and probably never will....

I doubt I'd buy anything Bioware ever makes, I use to think they were a cool company, till I had a run in with some of the jerks there, no thanks, I'll pass on everything Bioware..

I look at Bioware like a has been company...

It's disappointing coming from such an esteemed company for sure, but I can't say I'm surprised. Companies do this all the time, but perhaps they went a little too far or got a little sloppy and were caught.

Just check the Apple store at many of the app reviews, especially ones like the "track any phone" and other ripoff apps that mislead suckers with their wording of the description. Then you'll see tons of 5-star reviews that are pretty similar and give tons of praise, interrupted by strings of 1-star reviews talking about how much of a ripoff they are. There's no way Apple doesn't know about these obvious fraud apps, but they do nothing because they make them money.

If anyone thinks BioWare is the only company funding their own "reviews," think again.

It really isn't. No more so than DA:O.

Was DA:O really that different?

The Story, while non-epic (re-emphasizing it), is probably the games strongest point.
The story actually IS stronger than DA:O but of course the haters would tell you otherwise. I hated DA:O's storyline because it was a straight Lord-of-the-Rings knockoff.

There ARE some AI issues that are annoying but you can micro as much as you want to.

Its fine if it were executed well, but just after defeating the first wave of enemies (you are guaranteed to have 2nd or even 3rd wave spawn around the corner, or jump off of the local roof tops if you are in the city.) you are spending most of your time just right clicking mobs, praying your mage doesn't run through the armed posse waiting to cut her head off like you know she is about to do. One could argue there are tactics to this style of gameplay, but the tactics of Call of Duty do not necessarily = tactics of Bad Company 2. There is always a strategy for dealing with stuff, but I find that I am basing tactics off of knowing a random wave of hoodies are going to be jumping off the roofs randomly positioned always around my mage of course. As opposed to flawlesly executing a trap, mage nuke, ranged headshot, melee whirlwind and mage aoe ftw.
Like i said, there ARE some AI issues but the game requires more micro on your part to be successful. I didn't see it at first but on my 2nd playthrough I get the total hang of it.

You have to position your troops for max damage/defense. Of course the sword and shield warrior goes up front, soaking damage.
The 2 hand warrior should gather around as many enemies as possible b/c he can actually hit everyone around him equally.
The Rogue flanks
The Mages have to be properly micro'd to use the right spells

On top of that you have combo-classes. The warrior will cause stagger that the Rogue or the mage can use. The Mage can cause brittle that the warrior can use. The Rogue can disorient which the mage or the warrior can use. These cross-class combos can literally 1-hit kill a dragon if you pull them off JUST RIGHT.

Plus, with DA2, the classes are properly balanced. In DA:O, mages were uber overpowered. You could run with 3 mages and a rogue if you wanted to in DA:O b/c your mages could basically just Cone-of-cold-freeze everyone in place all the way to the endgame. You can't do that in this game.

I don't get those who complain about the UI. It's streamlined and easy. What's wrong with that?

Maybe it's because I thought DA:O was such a slow paced bore or that the game's story was to Lord-of-the-Rings-ish but I feel the exact opposite about this game as I do the other. Despite its flaws I feel like THIS is the better game.

funker, did bioware just hire you recently? I could comment on your posts, but i doubt any of it will get through to you. People have problems with the game, and they are legit.
