The Xoom's pictures are much better quality and are a much higher resolution. No one is buying a slate to use it for high quality purposes, but taking occasional photos would be fine, but not with the quality of the iPad 2's rear camera. Even my 3GS's camera sucks, and the iPad 2's camera is significantly lower resolution and quality.
I do not think that the camera in the ipod touch 4g or ipad 2 is worse than a 3gs.
That is a test between a iPhone 4 (which the Xoom didn't even catch up too 9 months later) and the video camera in the ipod 4g.
Is the touch worse. Heck yes! Can you use it, well, if you don't care about ultimate quality, sure! But the same can be said for the best phone camera on the market.
Keep in mind I use an APS 12MP camera, with multiple prime lenses. I know about image quality.
What makes that unusable?
